Christmas 2007 Picnic
We often spend time on the river, and Christmas 2007 was no exception.
This is the well-known horseshoe meander on the Kowie River:
We decided to picnic at a remote spot about 10 kilometres up the river, but picnics are not always without problems. There was one major obstacle in our path, namely a large, fat seal who was convinced that continuing down the jetty to get to my boat was not an option.
But we got to our destination without too much ado, and while the Old Timers philosophised, the children and grandchildren amused themselves more actively!
